Eye and Glasses Committee

This year, our group has been working to collect sunglasses, reading and prescription glasses. We have been reading and labeling them to allow for easy distribution once in Peru. We have also collected eye cloths to be used for dry eyes, eye drops, and a few medications and eye examination equipment. Dr. Sangita Mehta, an  ophthalmologist in Cleveland has helped us with our project, such as with figuring out what we need to take with us. She has also trained our group on how to recognize different eye conditions that we might see in Peru. Suggestions and help from members who have gone in previous years have also been very important for the success of our committee.
